Our History

200 Years in
the making

The Historic Rhett House Inn offers a wide variety of accommodations for each person. This 200-year old building has three floors of rooms. There is a total of 10 rooms that are in The Rhett House. Many famous people have stayed in these rooms, here get transported into a different time. 

With two different verandas that are perfect for relaxation. The main level veranda has some sitting areas perfect for watch the horse and buggies go by, as well as tables where guests can enjoy breakfast. The upper veranda offers some more sitting areas as well as a hammock that you lay back and relax with. Only rooms 7 and 8 can accommodate more than two adults per room (at an extra charge for anyone over 12).

Main House Rooms

(Rooms 1 – 10)

Main Level Rooms

On the main level with the parlor, dining room, kitchen, and veranda guests can find 3 rooms. Room 1 is in the house; this king bed is tucked in right between our parlor and kitchen and it offers great garden views. Room 9 is located off our main veranda; with an outside entrance this queen room is perfect for people on the go all day. Room 10 (our honeymoon suite) is a favorite among many, this king room is located off our back porch and offers its own private screened in porch overlooking the garden. *There are about 10 stairs to get up into this level, however once you are on this level you will be where everything is.

Ground Level Rooms

There are three rooms on this ground level. Room 6, Room 7, and Room 8 all offer easy access to and from the street. Room 6 is a lovely queen room that has that classic southern blue and white decor. Room 7 is a room with 2 queen beds and contains a door out to our fountain area. Room 8 has 2 double beds and has no neighbors. *There are about 3 stairs to get down to this level, guest can use the stairs inside to get up to the main level or they can walk through the garden and take the back stairs up (which are about 10 stairs).

Top Level Rooms

Our top level contains 4 rooms. Room 2 is a queen room that has a door out onto the upper veranda (the only room with the door to the veranda, straight from the room). Room 3 is a king that has windows facing the veranda. Room 4 is another king room that has windows facing the veranda, as well as the garden. Room 5 is a queen room that gets a lot of natural sunlight, right at the top of the stairs. *There are about 30 stairs to get up to this level from the main level. There is no elevator.
