As the holiday season unfolds, we welcome you to experience Christmas at the Rhett House Inn. Beaufort, South Carolina, is a magical place this time of year, and we invite you to visit throughout the Christmas season. 

One event you won’t want to miss is the Beaufort Holiday Weekend from December 6th-8th. Every year, historic downtown Beaufort comes alive for the holidays, featuring days filled with festive celebrations, seasonal entertainment, shopping, visits from Santa, and parades on both land and sea. It’s a weekend packed with family-friendly activities!

Beaufort Holiday Weekend

Join us for “A Night on the Town” this December! This festive three-day event invites you to explore downtown, where local retailers will be open late, and the vibrant sounds of local choirs, dance groups, and clubs fill the air. The celebration kicks off with Santa Claus illuminating the city’s official Christmas tree, accompanied by the Parris Island Marine Corps band playing your favorite holiday classics. Enjoy late-night shopping from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the tree lighting at 8 p.m.!

December 7th
Gullah Taste of Christmas: 11 a.m.
Lighted Boat Parade: 5:30 p.m.

Join us downtown this Saturday at 11 a.m. for the “Gullah Taste of Christmas” event! Experience the rich flavors of the Lowcountry as local vendors showcase their unique dishes. Then, in the afternoon, grab your chairs and blankets and head to the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park for the enchanting Beaufort “Lighted Boat Parade”! At 5:30 p.m., watch our community members take to the waters, showcasing their beautifully decorated boats adorned with festive lights. It’s a perfect day to celebrate the season with great food and dazzling sights!

December 8th
Christmas Parade: 3 p.m.

Kick off the season with our annual Christmas Parade, featuring beautifully decorated floats, local school bands, and community spirit! Bring your family and friends to enjoy the festive atmosphere and holiday cheer.
